Who Supports the Communications Lead During Times of Change?

Senior Comms professionals are often tasked with leading others through change, but rarely get the support or space THEY need whilst also going through it.


Unfortunately, this lack of leadership support for Comms leads is RIFE. And with so many navigating organisational change, whilst also being asked to help lead it, it's no wonder so many of you might be feeling exhausted, drained and wondering what the future holds for you at the end of it.

In most organisations, when change hits, all eyes turn to Comms.


You're expected to make sense of the noise. To keep the narrative calm, confident, and clear. To anticipate resistance, rally engagement, and get everyone on board.


But what happens when you're the one feeling:


  • Unclear about your role in the new world? (Or even if you'll have one at the end of it?)

  • Frustrated by a perceived lack of influence?

  • Overwhelmed by demands from a million different stakeholders?


Too often, Comms leaders are tasked with helping everyone else through change, but get little support to process or lead through it themselves.
